Carat Weight

The first "C" is carat weight, which is the measure of a diamond's size. One carat equals 200 milligrams, and diamonds are weighed to the nearest hundredth of a carat. Larger diamonds are rarer and, therefore, more valuable. However, it's essential to note that two diamonds of the same carat weight can have very different values based on their other 3Cs.

Cut

The second "C" is cut, which refers to the angles and proportions of a diamond. The cut affects the diamond's brilliance, fire, and scintillation, which are the three qualities that give diamonds their signature sparkle. The clarity scale ranges from flawless (no inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification) to included (inclusions visible to the naked eye). A higher clarity grade means a more valuable diamond.
